This policy explains safety rules, accident procedures, and insurance responsibilities for users of the inGo platform.

🚗 1. Safety Overview

inGo is committed to the safety of riders, couriers, and passengers.
You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others during trips or deliveries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Follow traffic laws and road rules
  • Ensure safe use of vehicles, bicycles, or walking routes
  • Treat all participants (riders, couriers,) with respect

👤 2. Rider Safety

  • Always wear helmets when riding on the motorcycle
  • Avoid unsafe behavior during the trip 
  • Report any unsafe incidents immediately via the in-app support or emergency button

📦 3. Courier Safety

  • Handle packages carefully and avoid overloading 
  • Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws
  • Wear protective equipment if applicable (helmets, reflective gear, etc.)
  • Ensure your delivery method (motorcycle, bike, foot) is safe and roadworthy

🛡️ 4. Insurance Responsibilities

Riders

  • inGo does not provide personal injury or accident insurance for riders
  • Riders may choose to have their own travel or accident insurance for added protection

Couriers/Riders

  • Must maintain personal, vehicle, and insurance
  • inGo is not liable for injuries, vehicle damage, or lost/damaged items unless otherwise stated
  • Proof of insurance may be requested by inGo to ensure compliance

🚨 5. Accidents & Incident Reporting

If an accident or safety issue occurs:

  1. Prioritize safety – call emergency services if necessary
  2. Report the incident immediately via the app
  3. Include relevant details (time, location, photos if safe)
  4. Cooperate with investigations by inGo or authorities

Important: Mobile money transactions are not refundable in cases where user negligence causes damage unless otherwise required by law.

⚠️ 6. Prohibited Behavior

Do not:

  • Transport illegal or hazardous goods
  • Engage in reckless or dangerous behavior
  • Harass or threaten other users, riders, or couriers

Violations may lead to account suspension or termination.

📍 7. Liability

  • inGo is not responsible for personal injury, property damage, or loss of goods
  • Users are responsible for their own insurance and compliance
  • inGo may assist with documentation for insurance claims, but is not liable for payouts

🔐 8. Mobile Money & Safety

  • Ensure payments for insurance coverage, fines, or damages (if applicable) comply with RBZ mobile money regulations
  • inGo is not responsible for mobile money network delays or failures during claims processing
